Refund Policy

Last updated:

Our commitment

We want you to be satisfied with URLCheck. The 14-day free trial exists precisely so you can evaluate the extension before committing to a paid subscription. No credit card is required during the trial.

If something goes wrong after you subscribe, we will do our best to make it right. This policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one.

Free trial

No charge is made during the 14-day free trial. Because the trial is card-free, there is nothing to refund. If you decide URLCheck is not right for you, simply do not subscribe when the trial ends.

Cancellation after subscribing

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the self-serve billing portal. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the current paid billing period. We do not issue refunds for the unused portion of a billing period when you cancel voluntarily.

Example: if you subscribe on the 1st of the month and cancel on the 10th, your access runs until the end of that month and no refund is issued for the remaining 20 days.

When we will issue a refund

Refunds are available in the following circumstances:

  • Accidental charge. If you were charged in error (for example, because your cancellation was not processed before a renewal) and you contact us within 7 days of the charge, we will refund the mistaken renewal.
  • Service unavailability. If the service is substantially unavailable for an extended period due to our fault and we are unable to resolve it, we will offer a pro-rata credit or refund for the affected period.
  • Duplicate subscription. If you are charged twice for the same subscription period, we will refund the duplicate charge immediately on confirmation.
  • Statutory rights. Depending on your country of residence, consumer-protection law may give you a right to a refund within a cooling-off period (typically 14 days in the European Union and United Kingdom). We honour all statutory refund rights. If you believe you are entitled to a statutory refund, contact us and we will assess your request promptly.

How to request a refund

Email us at support@urlcheck.app with the subject line “Refund request” and include:

  • The email address associated with your account.
  • The date of the charge you are disputing.
  • A brief description of why you are requesting a refund.

We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

What we cannot refund

  • Subscription periods that have already been used, where the service was available and functioning.
  • Charges more than 30 days old, except where required by applicable law.
  • Charges resulting from failure to cancel before an automatic renewal, unless the circumstances described under “Accidental charge” above apply.

Changes to this policy

We may update this refund policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. The policy in effect at the time of your charge governs that transaction.
