What URLCheck does

URLCheck is a browser extension that reads the URL of the page you are currently visiting and displays it in a large, readable on-screen bubble. That is all it does. The URL is shown to you. It is never sent to our servers or recorded anywhere.

Data we collect

Email address
Yes: to identify your account and send sign-in links and billing receipts.
Subscription status
Yes: whether you are in a free trial, have an active subscription, or neither. Used to determine access.
Browsing history or visited URLs
No, never. The extension reads the current URL locally to display it to you. Nothing is sent to us.
Private / incognito sessions
No. The extension does not operate in private or incognito windows.
Payment card details
No. All payments are handled directly by Stripe. We never see your card number or CVV.
Device identifiers or fingerprints
No.
Personal analytics data
No. Any analytics on this website are aggregated and anonymous. No personal data, no cross-site tracking.

How we use your data

  • To sign you in via a magic link (no password needed).
  • To check whether your account is entitled to use the extension.
  • To process your subscription payment, via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails: sign-in links, billing receipts, and trial-expiry reminders.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We share it only with the third parties necessary to operate the service (Stripe for payments; a transactional email provider for sign-in links).

Your controls

  • Cancel anytime. Use the self-serve billing portal. Access continues to the end of your paid period.
  • Delete your account. Deletes all personal data we hold, within 30 days.
  • Access or correct your data. Email us at support@urlcheck.app.

No non-essential cookies by default

The extension sets no cookies. This website does not set non-essential cookies by default. Strictly necessary cookies may be used during the sign-in flow and are deleted when no longer needed.
