Built to be read

Bubble size is adjustable in the extension's settings: small, medium, and large presets. The text scales with the box, so you never get a large panel of tiny writing.

The destination is always set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, the typeface the Braille Institute engineered to keep visually similar characters distinct. Look-alikes such as l I 1 and O 0 stay unambiguous, with ligatures turned off so nothing fuses into a shape that could hide a fake.

The destination is near-black on white, which exceeds WCAG 2.1 AAA contrast. The combination stays readable across a wide range of display brightness and ambient lighting.

A dark theme (light text on a near-black card) is available in settings with the same contrast target, if that reads better on your screen.

When the bubble appears, the destination is announced as a status message through an ARIA live region, so screen-reader users get the same information, read aloud, without focus having to jump to the bubble.

The announcement is a short, natural phrase (“Real destination: paypal.com”), not raw URL syntax. If you raise the detail level, the extra path you've chosen to show is read out too.

If your system is set to reduce motion (the “Reduce motion” or equivalent preference on macOS, Windows, or Linux), the bubble appears instantly, with no fade or slide. It reads the system setting automatically; nothing to configure.

Every control (display mode and detail level in the popup; size, position, theme, and the trusted-site list in settings) is reachable and operable with the keyboard alone. Focus order follows the visual layout and focus indicators are always visible. No control needs a mouse.

The bubble itself dismisses with the Escape key while it's visible, without moving focus away from what you were doing.
