No. URLCheck makes the real destination easier to see, but it does not judge or guarantee that a site is safe, legitimate, or free from risk. The decision stays with you.

Many phishing scams rely on look-alike links, confusing domains, and the browser's small address bar. URLCheck shows the real destination in large, high-contrast text, so you have a better chance of spotting something suspicious before you continue.

No. URLCheck isn't antivirus, and it doesn't scan, filter, or block anything. It's a visibility and awareness tool that makes web destinations easier to read and review. No tool can prevent every scam, so keep being cautious with emails, texts, downloads, passwords, and payments.

Right now: desktop Chrome, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi (all via the Chrome Web Store). Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox are coming soon. It doesn't currently work in Safari, on mobile browsers of any kind, or in Internet Explorer.

Not yet. URLCheck is a desktop browser extension for now. Mobile support may be added in a future release, depending on browser and platform limitations.

Install the extension, then click the URLCheck icon in your toolbar to open the popup. Create an account or sign in. Your 14-day trial starts immediately once your account is active. No card required.

Subscribe before the 14 days are up and your access continues uninterrupted. If you don't, the extension stops working at the end of the trial, but your account and settings are preserved, so everything's where you left it if you subscribe later. We never charge you unless you actively choose to subscribe.

A low-cost subscription: $2.99 per month, or $29.99 per year (which works out cheaper per month). The 14-day trial is free and needs no card. A subscription funds ongoing development, browser-update compatibility, security maintenance, and support.

The features are identical. Annual works out to about $2.50 per month, a 16% saving versus the $2.99 monthly rate. Start monthly if you'd rather try it first, and switch to annual any time from the extension.

Subscribing happens inside the extension, where you're signed in. The website never runs checkout or asks for your card. Open the popup during your trial and choose a plan there whenever you're ready.

Open your subscription from the extension and cancel from there. There's no cancellation fee. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again after that. Your account and settings remain unless you also delete your account.

Yes. Automatic shows the bubble on each new navigation; Manual shows it only when you summon it from the popup; and Pinned keeps it on screen until you dismiss it.

Yes. In settings you can set the size (small, medium, or large), how much of the address to show (just the domain, or the domain plus path), which screen corner it sits in, and a light, dark, or system theme.

Yes. One subscription covers all your devices. Install the extension on as many supported browsers and computers as you use and sign in with the same account on each. Your display preferences and trusted sites are kept on each browser you set them on.

Your account email and subscription status. That's all we store on our servers.

The extension sees the URL your browser navigated to (that's how it knows what to display), but that URL is processed locally in your browser and is never sent to us. We have no record of your browsing history, and we never sell or share your personal information for advertising.

No. URLCheck reads the web address only, in order to display it. It is not designed to read your passwords, your financial information, or the content of the pages you visit.

A typeface from the Braille Institute of America, designed to make text readable for people with low vision. It gives each character a distinct shape so look-alikes (like l I 1, or O 0) are easy to tell apart. URLCheck uses it throughout the site and the extension, including the destination text itself.
